“Love is born with solar flares from magnetic poles.”
When was revolution4 formed?
revolution4 began in 2010. The group was founded by David Cason, cellist and owner of Four Strings, a long-time Dallas-area classical event music provider. The goal – a dedicated ensemble, specially trained to perform rock and pop on acoustic strings.
What makes revolution4 different from other string quartets?
First, the music. Our setlist consists of original and exclusive arrangements that you will not hear anywhere else. This is not “easy-listening”, or those horrible “What if Mozart had written Saturday Night Fever” concoctions. Our arrangements (all done by David) attempt to capture the energy and essence of the song and the style, translated to the string quartet medium.
Second, the musicians. We love rock music. We listen to rock music. We grew up with rock music. And we love to play rock music the way it should be played – not as some neutered classical crossover, but full-on rock & roll.
Who are some of your clients?
revolution4 has played some of DFW’s most exclusive events since their debut, including:
Super Bowl XLV NFL Owners’ Dinner (Cowboys Stadium)
2011 Reebok Heroes Foundation ‘TEN’ VIP event (Majestic Theatre)
What does it cost to book revolution4
All our rates are “event specific”, and depend partly on venue, setlist, and other considerations. However, as a general rule, the first hour is typically $750, and additional hours $150-$200.
